Frog & Fly

Description:

This a demo for a game I have been working on where you can play classic rage platformer game as a frog with his friend a bird.

Frog can charge his jump and also shoot out his tongue to Fly, a bird that helps Frog to reach places he otherwise would not have made it. Fly will hold on to the tongue to allow frog to swing around.

Note that this game is not anywhere close to being finished and some sprites may be missing or not complete. Please enjoy this small demo and let me know what you think of it, your feedback is appreciated!

Controls:

• Hold A or D to charge a jump in that direction, let go anytime or when full to jump.
• Fly will follow your mouse.
• Mouse 1 (left mouse button) to shoot out Frog's tongue towards Fly.
  • Only works when Frog is in the air.
  • Fly will let go when Frog bumps on any terrain.
  • Frog can only shoot his tongue once per jump.
• Press R to restart back to the main menu.

Tips:

• The prime time to shoot out your tongue is just after you reach the apex of your jump when Frog starts his descent to the ground.
• You can shoot and aim your tongue backwards, dropping your speed and then start swinging to the opposite side.
• Holding mouse 2 (right mouse button) will lock the position of Fly and he can also walk on the ground, try it!
